Brothers, and your families, you are invited to the following HOD event:

HOD Shimshon is going to the Atlanta Air Show on October 27th, a Sunday. It will be at Falcon Field in Peachtree City. This year, the U.S. Air Force special team the Thunderbirds will perform in their F-16 Fighting Falcons. (Last year was F-22 Raptors, the year before that it was F-35As and F-35Cs.) Usually, there is a demonstration where a damaged Vietnam War-era Huey is rescued by another chopper while another provides air cover. Vintage aircraft (bi- and tri-wing) usually show up in formation. It's possible the F-22 will be in formation with an older aircraft, like a WWII-era fighter plane. It's a great day outside.

We will be in an economical private viewing area (relative to individual tickets & locations), where 4 people will be seated per 10'x12' box. You'll need to bring a lawn chair. (The one from Buc-ees works well. :) )

Even though the event is in October, seats go on sale at the start of June.

Cost per person is $85. See below for details.

Bring hats, sunscreen and earplugs. We're outside for hours. Gates open at 9 AM. The show usually starts at 11 AM.

The $85 cost is based on last year's Air Show cost. The current year's cost won't be available until they open ticket purchasing, and we'll have to act fast to secure the boxes. There will probably be a small incremental increase that the lodge will cover unless you want to cover the additional cost.
